The aim of the market-oriented research project MAVO SR-PRO "simulated reality" is an integration of simulation and optimization. Besides the design of generic optimization concepts in the area of virtual engineering, the ITWM studies process optimization for the production of non-wovens. Our objectives are:

• multicriteria optimization of homogeneity of the non-woven and the stability of the production process
• development of an interactive software tool for parameter- and objectives-oriented neering of the process
• integration of the software into a prototype for simulated reality that is being developed with our partners Fraunhofer IGD and SCAI.
