NetMod: Reduced models for complex electrical networks with distributed power sources
Fraunhofer ITWM
The goal of the project is to develop new methods for the optimal design and operation of electrical networks considering technical, economical and ecological aspects. A large part of the electricity is produced by decentralized power generators. Research at the department of Optimization focuses on:
- development of a stochastic optimization model
- development and application of decomposition methods for solving the problem
- development of efficient Lagrangian-based heuristics for obtaining feasible solutions
