At this point, we report on current topics, dates and other news directly from the department.

Workshops and Seminars

Practical applied research and method development require constant communication with the world of industrial application. This means know-how transfer from the institute to industry as well as feedback from users and calibration of new methods according to their practical relevance.

Of course, this is done in our cooperation projects. But we decided to establish an additional broad and open instrument: Advanced technology courses for engineers in the industry.

We offer the following seminars in German at regular intervals:

  • Load data – analysis, design and simulation (last on 15. - 17.05.2018, more information)
  • Statistical methods in fatigue strength (last on 05. - 07.06.2018, more information)

Currently there are no seminars or events in the department.

Fairs, Conferences and Symposia

Simple, rapid determination of cable properties

Trying to fit all the necessary cables into a car is anything but an easy task. Simulations can be helpful, but the properties of each cable need to be precisely defined up front. We developed a highly automated measurement system (MeSOMICS) for identification of model parameters for IPS Cable Simulation.
