This one-week course, which we organize in cooperation with Fraunhofer FOKUS, offers an introduction to the basics of quantum computing and the most important algorithms. It provides an overview of the basics of quantum mechanics, quantum gates and circuits, quantum programming and areas of application.

Together with our project partners, we are offering an online workshop as part of the conference. Marvin Schulte from the department »Transport Processes« will give a presentation at this workshop entitled »The SEMSAI Research Project – Predicting the Development of Pandemics«.

At Techtextil in Frankfurt am Main, international exhibitors will be showcasing the entire spectrum of technical textiles, nonwovens, functional apparel textiles and textile technologies. Our experts from the »Transport Processes« and »Flow and Material Simulation« departments will also be on site this year.

With Control, suppliers and users have a specialist event at their disposal which illuminates all aspects in theory and presents the current global range of usable technologies, processes, products and system solutions for industrial quality assurance in practice. We will be present with experts from our departments »Material Characterization and Testing« and »Image Processing«.

Experts from the largest German insurance sectors will take part in the conference. Our experts from the »Financial Mathematics« department will be on site with a stand and will present our focus areas »Life Insurance« and »Auditing«. Our colleague Philipp Mahler will also be giving a presentation.

Girls'Day provides practical experience in professions and fields of study in which the proportion of women is currently below 40 percent. There are many career opportunities at our institute that have so far mainly been taken up by men. We want to change that!

Participants will discuss transformation processes in the field of fluid and energy systems under the motto »tank.tech in transition« and take part in topic-specific presentations in addition to the accompanying trade exhibition. Our experts Dr. Isabel Michel and Dr. Jörg Kuhnert from the »Transport Processes« department will give a presentation entitled »MESHFREE simulations for spray applications: Coupling 3D modeling with efficient shallow water approaches« at tank.tech 2024.

ISC High Performance 2024 is an international conference and exhibition that fosters the growth of a global high-performance computing community of technology providers and users. Our experts Dr. Daniel Grünewald, Dr. Arcesio Castaneda Medina, Dr. Franz-Josef Pfreundt, Dominik Loroch, Christian Oritz, Dr. Jens Krüger and Dr. Mirko Rahn from the »High Performance Computing« division will represent Fraunhofer ITWM at our exhibition booth.

Special statistical methods are required to provide statistically correct proof of the reliability of components. In a two-day compact seminar, we will provide you with the necessary necessary knowledge to be able to answer core questions confidently.

We will be present at the VI-Grade ZERO PROTOTYPES SUMMIT! Our experts Dr.-Ing. Christoph Burkhart, Francesco Calabrese and Alberto Tanzi of our division »Mathematics for Vehicle Engineering« are on site with a booth and present our software tool »CD Tire«.
