The 3rd Symposium Driving Simulation will take place under the motto “Virtual Environments for Testing of Automated Vehicles”. The event discusses the future challenges in the field of virtual development, testing and validation of systems for automated vehicles. The current state of technologies and standardization activities of driving simulation will be shown. The topical key points will focus on virtual environments for advanced driver assistance systems, autonomous driving and connectivity. The symposium’s practical relevance is highlighted by examples for successful implementations and by a visit of the driving simulator of the DLR. The symposium offers an excellent platform for exchanges between driving simulation experts from the fields of science, IT, or the industry. The event will include a "World Cafe" as a space for exchanging experiences and summarizing the lessons of the experience.
