Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics ITWMFrom 4 to 8 June 2018, the German Association of Actuaries (DAV) in conjunction with the International Actuarial Association (IAA) will host the 31st International Congress of Actuaries (ICA)in Berlin. This event is a global summit for the exchange of actuarial knowledge and is aimed at actuaries, scientists, practitioners and academics from all over the world who share an interest in actuarial topics in insurance and finance.

Program
Well-known guest speakers from both academia and practice will cover topics of one or more program strands. As experts in their fields, these invited speakers will focus on relevant actual actuarial and financial topics. The invited speaker sessions will take place on each day of the ICA 2018.

The congress program of the ICA 2018 includes a wide variety of formats suitable for all kinds of talks on actuarial and fi nancial issues.
- In daily Plenary Sessions of 90 minutes, internationally renowned guest speakers from insurance, regulation and academia present current developments.
- While plenary sessions cover general topics, around 30 Invited Speaker Sessions for up to 750 participants focus on one or two of the program threads. In these, well-known invited experts of their field present actual topics.
- Additionally, around 270 Parallel Talks regularly lasting 30 minutes each will refl ect the wide variety of topics facing the actuarial profession.
- The congress program will also include various sessions in which selected national and international prize winners introduce and discuss their research results.

A conference ticket for the full week costs regular 1380€ , 1280€ for speaker and 1180€ for academics. For the half week its regular 835€, 775€ for speaker and 715€for academics.
