ISC Machine-Learning-Day 27th June

Within the last few years, machine learning has become a vital topic within the HPC community. As a result, ISC High Performance will provide a special focus on this subject matter with a one-day track on Wednesday, June 27. It is being led by our employee Dr. Janis Keuper and Dr. Brian van Essen, from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL).

Principal topic areas include:

  • How machine learning applications are changing HPC architectures
  • Challenges towards scalable machine learning on HPC systems
  • Software for machine learning on HPC
  • How the technology is being applied, by both commercial users and researchers

One of the speakers is Dr. Dominik Straßel our expert of the department »High Performance Computing«.

ISC STEM Student Day & Gala 27th June

ISC High Performance is a forum for high performance computing (HPC) community members to network and explore opportunities - for both current experts and future generations.

ISC created a program to welcome science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) students into the world of HPC, demonstrate how technical skills in this area can propel your future career, introduce you to the current job landscape, and show you what the HPC workforce will look like in 2020 and beyond.

The ISC STEM Student Day & Gala is a full-day program and will take place on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Admission is free for undergraduate and graduate students, both regional and international.
