Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics ITWMThe International Conference of Physics Students (ICPS) is an annual meeting of physics students from all over the world. The conference gives students a great opportunity to share their research, to network with each other, and to get to know the culture and traditions of the country where it takes place. Students also have the chance to listen to lectures by leading scientists, discuss various topics in poster sessions and to visit local laboratories in the host city. At the job fair, our colleagues present career opportunities at our institute.

Program
In addition to various lectures by scientists, workshops, poster sessions and joint social activities, excursions to research institutions in the region are also part of the program. The focus, however, is on the exchange and getting to know other physics students from all over the world. Last year, more than 400 students from 40 different countries came together at the ICSP in Helskinki.
Organization
The event takes place at the University of Cologne and is organized by the jDPG, the youth association of the German Physical Society (DPG). The participation fee is 230€ for the complete program, meals and accommodation during the one-week conference.
About us
Our colleagues from the division »Optimization« as well as the department »Materials Characterization and Testing« will present career opportunities at our institute at the job fair. In addition to working as a scientific employee, a career start as PhD student is also possible.
