Quantum Science and Information Technologies
1st Fall Meeting of the German Physical Society (DPG)
1st Fall Meeting of the German Physical Society (DPG)
The first DPG Fall Meeting addresses the DPG Quantum Science in its relation to Information Technologies, and provides a forum for cross-disciplinary discourse between condensed matter and AMO physics, information science and quantum technologies, applied and fundamental research.
The DPG Fall Meeting is a joint meeting of the three sections Atomic, Molecular, Plasma Physics and Quantum Optics Section (SAMOP), Condensed Matter Section (SKM) and Matter and Cosmos Section (SMuK).
The topics include:
The program of the conference consists of lectures on the above-mentioned topics, thematic sessions and poster sessions. A total of 511 contributions will be presented at the DPG Fall Meeting, including 154 posters and 343 short and long lectures. The detailed program is listed on the DPG's webpage: to the list of all talks and sessions.
On Tuesday, September 24, our experts Patricia Bickert and Felix Riexinger from the division »Optimization« will present their poster »Modeling and simulation of SPDC sources for quantum imaging experiments« in the poster session FM 41: Quantum Sensing at 4:30 pm.
The research presented here was carried out as part of the joint Fraunhofer lighthouse project QUILT together with the department »Materials Characterization and Testing«. More about project: QUILT – Quantum Methods for Advanced Imaging Solutions.
