MINT-EC-Girls-Camp: Math-Talent-School

Becoming a Mathematician – Yes or No?
Just Try It Out at the Talent School!

The Math Talent School is aimed at maths enthusiasts who want to gain an insight into the professional world of mathematicians and especially those who want to find out more about what »applied maths« is and want to exchange ideas with other maths enthusiasts.

Over five exciting and varied workshop days, they will learn how industrial questions can be answered in a project-oriented way with the help of mathematical modelling, optimisation and computer simulations. At the end, the teams present the results in a plenary session. As the project groups often also include programming, an introductory course is offered during the Talent School. Participants can also use the project days to find out whether they like the combination of maths and computer science.

The event is rounded off with information on studying maths and the careers of female mathematicians as well as various activities.

Optionally, you can visit the »Day of Mathematics« at the RPTU in Kaiserslautern on 8 June 2024. The additional overnight stay will be covered.
