The »42kaiserslautern« is hosting an interactive event, featuring three stations where democratic principles are taught, a keynote speech is given, and personal conversations with »living books« can be held in the human library.

Our expert Hans Trinkaus is there as a »living book«. He will talk about the connection between art and mathematics, his work at the institute, and provide food for thought on creativity, research, and society.

As part of the Fraunhofer network »Science, Art, and Design«, he promotes interdisciplinary exchange between applied research and art. Founded in 2018, the network aims to better understand complex social issues and develop innovative solutions through dialogue between scientists and artists.
