PPSN 2026

Workshops »Quantum versus Classical Optimisation: Synergies and Boundaries« (QvC)

As part of the PPSN Conference (Parallel Problem Solving From Nature), the workshop »Quantum versus Classical Optimization: Synergies and Boundaries (QvC)« takes place. It focuses on the interaction between quantum-based and classical optimization methods, as well as their respective strengths and limitations.

The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers from the fields of quantum computing and classical optimization to discuss current developments, open questions, and possible future directions.

Our expert, Dr. Pascal Halffmann, research coordinator for the field of application »Quantum Computing«, is a co-organizer of the workshop. He supports the content planning related to quantum computing and optimization, contributing his expertise in hybrid quantum-classical methods to the discussions.
