At the event, our colleagues Dr. Benjamin Adrian and Dr. Andreas Wirsen will give a poster presentation on the topic of predictive maintenance planning. These are customized solutions for predictive and condition-based monitoring of individual special-purpose machines and test benches in production maintenance and quality assurance. Objectives of Condition Monitoring and Predictive Maintenance:​

• To help make the current level of wear – and its impact on quality, reliability, and energy consumption – measurable and predictable.​
• To assist in the digitization of inspections in order to automatically collect key performance indicators (KPIs) and schedules in maintenance and production.
• Monitoring multiple assemblies with just a few sensors, e.g., in the drivetrain: motor, inverter, bearings, gearbox, shaft; or on machine tools: spindle, tool mounting, workpiece mounting​
• Multisensor signal analysis using intelligent algorithms that take the system’s setup and operating states into account.​
• Assistance with incremental model development to perform target/actual comparisons of plant conditions and to unambiguously diagnose and locate faults.​
• Support in identifying efficient control variables to operate plants more sustainably (wear, quality, throughput, energy consumption, scrap) or more efficiently.
