HLRS Future Computing Workshop 2026
Höchstleistungsrechenzentrum Stuttgart (High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart)
The Future Computing Workshop 2026 at HLRS focuses on the latest developments in high performance computing (HPC) and the associated future prospects. In light of flattening scaling laws, heterogeneous architectures, specialized accelerators, and neuromorphic systems are increasingly coming to the fore, promising significant performance gains and energy savings, though they currently still require further development. The workshop brings together hardware manufacturers, software developers, and researchers from industry, academia, and data centers to discuss current trends, exchange experiences, and initiate potential collaborations.
Our experts Dr. Jens Krüger and Dr. Franz-Josef Pfreundt from the »High Performance Computing« department are on site to present the talk »The STX Processor – Cost and Energy Efficient HPC« (»The STX Processor – Cost-Effective and Energy-Efficient High Performance Computing«).
