On Saturday, December 5, 2026, the Department of Physics at RPTU Kaiserslautern invites you to Physics Day 2026. The event is aimed at high school students and offers a variety of activities designed to provide insights into the diversity of physics and encourage hands-on participation.
In addition to experiments and hands-on activities, there are various competitions and other opportunities to learn about and explore physical concepts.
The »Material Characterization and Testing« department has a booth in the foyer of Building 46. In which our experts are providing information on current projects and applications related to the theme »Physics Meets Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, and High Tech« and are available to answer questions.
At our booth, we are demonstrating how physics, mathematics, and computer science interact in various fields of application – from quantum computing and quantum algorithms to terahertz measurement technology, spectroscopy, and tomography, all the way to modern imaging and image processing. In addition, we are providing insights into material characterization as well as material and flow simulations, and demonstrate how artificial intelligence can be used to analyze and optimize complex processes.
