Experiment Selfie Art – Become a Real Van Gogh With AI

As part of MI(N)Tmachwelt, an interactive workshop offers the opportunity to experience modern technologies up close: with our creative software, a simple self-portrait is transformed into a digital work of art in just a few seconds.

Participants can choose from various art styles – such as those of Paul Klee, Gustav Klimt, or Vincent van Gogh – and watch as artificial intelligence transforms their own image into a vivid painting. The software uses advanced image processing and style transfer to combine classic art with modern technology.

In addition to the artistic experience, the workshop also offers exciting insights into how the underlying AI technology works. How is a photo converted into a painting? What technical processes are involved? Dr. Alexander Geng from the »Image Processing« department and other experts will be on hand to answer questions and explain the technology in more detail.

The program is complemented by additional interactive elements and little surprises – a multifaceted experience for anyone who wants to discover art and technology in an innovative way.

The target audience is students in grades 8 through 12.
