The ScyLight initiative within the ESA program »Optical and Quantum Communications« is dedicated to current developments and future trends in optical and quantum communication technologies and promotes their advancement from research to industrial application. It provides a specialized platform for exchange within the space sector to share innovative impulses, consolidate knowledge, and jointly shape future technological perspectives.

Our colleague Dr. Arcesio Castaneda Medina from the department »High Performance Computing« and Christopher Spiess from the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering IOF are giving a presentation on »Quantum Information Networks«, thereby presenting the SatQC project, a feasibility study on distributed quantum computing using satellite communications.
