Becoming a Mathematician – Is That Something for Me? Just Try It Out at the Talent School! 

The Math Talent School is aimed at math-enthusiastic students from MINT-EC schools who want to find out what mathematicians do in their professional lives. During an exciting week at the world's largest institute for applied mathematics, participants gain insights into the professional world and exchange ideas with like-minded people and students.

Over five varied workshop days, they learn how to solve industrial problems using mathematical modeling, optimization and computer simulations. They work together in teams on projects and present their results in a plenary session at the end of the week.

There is also information about studying mathematics and career paths in science and applied research. An introductory course offers the opportunity to gain initial programming experience so that all participants can find out whether the combination of mathematics and computer science appeals to them. Various leisure activities round off the event.
