Since the institute's foundation in 1995, the Fraunhofer ITWM's operating budget has grown from € 1.64 million to € 41.4 million in 2023.

Staff

Fraunhofer ITWM currently employs 259 scientific staff, 68 persons in technical and administrative services, 56 PhD students, 4 trainees and 100 Research assistants (status: August 2025).
