Since the institute's foundation in 1995, the Fraunhofer ITWM's operating budget has grown from € 1.64 million to € 41.6 million in 2025.

Staff

Fraunhofer ITWM currently employs 239 scientific staff, 65 persons in technical and administrative services, 45 PhD students, 4 trainees and 78 Research assistants (status: 2025).
