You like science and pizza? This is for you!

In Kaiserslautern, there is a unique collection of mathematics and computer science competencies, which are being applied in numerous research projects in areas like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Deep Learning.

The »ML in KL Lightning Talks« is an initiative of the DFKI and the ITWM that offers a new networking opportunity for researchers of all institutions in KL.

With a manageable amount of time (one hour) and nutritious incentives (free pizza), you have the opportunity during your lunch break to discuss common topics of interest, gain insights into the research subjects of others, and even find starting points for cooperation. The offer starts with a first meeting on 29.10. and will be organized regularly around various topics.


  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • One slide and 5 minutes per presentation
  • 8 presentations
  • Discussion und free pizza afterwards

Who's invited:

Invited is everyone who does research on the respective topic and wants to report or discuss about it. Yes, tell others!



Seats are limited. Please register on the website of the single event.

In case you want to present your own work: Please send your slide with title to Sabrina Klar.



The presentations of a day in the series always belong to one topic and are generally in English.
