Asymptotic Analysis of Optimal Control Problems and Global Optimization

Abstract:

The talk addresses the problem of guiding a crowd of individuals (sheep) with the help if agents (dogs) to some given destination. We consider descriptions of the crowd on the microscopic level and on the mean-field level and compare the control strategies in both cases. Further, we discuss a space mapping approach for the control of a crowd modelled with stochastic differential equations. The theoretical observations will be underlined by results of numerical simulations.
