HANNOVER MESSE cannot be held this year. The reason is the increasingly critical situation due to the Covid 19 pandemic. The next HANNOVER MESSE will take place from 12 to 16 April 2021.
HANNOVER MESSE is the world's most important industrial fair. It takes place every spring at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds, the world's largest exhibition center. All key technologies and core areas of industry are concentrated in one place - from research and development, industrial automation and IT, subcontracting, production technologies and services to energy and mobility technologies.
With this year's lead theme "Industrial Transformation", HANNOVER MESSE is focusing on the effects of digitization, individualization and climate protection on the networked industry. These three drivers of industrial transformation affect all stages of industrial value creation - from development, production, logistics and energy supply to services.
We will present the latest results of our research together with our colleagues at the main stand of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft in hall 16. Our spin-off "fleXstructures" and our partner "Fraunhofer-Chalmers Centre" from Sweden will also be present.
Integrating humans and flexible components such as cables and hoses in digital assembly planning reduces physical prototypes and ensures validated results in an early phase of the product development process. A biomechanical model with an autonomous and ergonomic posture calculation, a collision-free assembly path and the physically correct consideration of flexible components guarantees this.
In the automotive field, the availability of data has been increasing strongly for years; this applies not only to quantities measured directly on vehicle, but also to environmental data. At the same time, technologies for data acquisition, data management and computational data processing are also continuously improved and further developed. We show how methods of data analysis, artificial intelligence and machine learning can systematically support and improve the vehicle development process.
The digital human model IPS-IMMA is utilized in various industry sectors to design workstations with due regard to ergonomic requirements. It allows for analyses of accessibility, visibility and feasibility in the assembly of digital prototypes while accounting for the variance of prospective workers. Simulated work processes can be experienced in virtual reality, which allows for the testing and evaluation of operations with new prototypes or work stations during early planning phases
