Hybrid Conference

The International Conference on Programmable Materials 2022 is organised by the Fraunhofer Cluster of Excellence Programmable Materials CPM and will take place this year at the Fraunhofer Forum in Berlin.  

Our colleague PD Dr. Heiko Andrä from the department »Flow and Materials Simulation« is organising the symposium »Mechanical Metamaterials and Structural and Functional Optimization« here. In this symposium, our colleague Dr Alexander Leichner from the same department will give a talk on »Optimal Design of Shape Changing Programmable Metamaterials using Data-Driven Surrogate Models«.

During the event, the design space will be explored and a toolbox of building blocks for »Programmable Materials« will be developed. In addition, a relationship will be established between people from relevant scientific fields - from materials science and chemistry to manufacturing and artificial intelligence.
