Paris / June 17, 2019 - June 23, 2019
53rd International Paris Air Show
Hall 2c D 367
Hall 2c D 367
The International Paris Air Show is an aerospace exhibition organised every two years by SIAE, a subsidiary of GIFAS, the French Association for the Aerospace Industry. It is one of the largest and oldest aviation fairs in the world. Since 1909, it has presented the latest aerospace technologies and related equipment such as aircraft engines, satellite and navigation technology, aircraft cabins and seats, and weapon systems. Our department "Materials Characterization and Testing" is also on site.
At the joint booth of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, our experts from the department "Materials Characterization and Testing" will present their research with Terahertz and Micrometer waves. Among other things, these waves allow non-destructive testing of materials, which is of particular interest for aircraft components. For example, a millimeter-wave terahertz system developed by us checks radar domes in aircraft (radome) for possible defects during production.
Monday, 17th June - Sunday, 23rd June
daily 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Up to and including Thursday, the fair is open exclusively to trade visitors.
