Math Camp

Rhineland-Palatinate’s Best Young Mathematicians Train for the 2023 Math Olympiad

From March 27 to 31, 2023, 35 of Rhineland-Palatinate's best young mathematicians from secondary schools I and II will take part in the »Math Camp« at the Rheinland-Pfälzische Technische Universität Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU) to train for the 62nd national round of the Mathematical Olympiad. This will take place from June 11 to 14, 2023.

On March 31, the students will have the opportunity to get to know Fraunhofer ITWM in a modeling workshop and a guided tour through our institute. At a concluding ceremony with a keynote speech, the finalists for the Math Olympiad will also be announced here.

The Felix-Klein-Zentrum für Mathematik e.V. annually supports the Math Camp at the RPTU in Kaiserslautern with a total of 6,000 Euros. It represents the institutional link between the Department of Mathematics at the RPTU Kaiserslautern and the Fraunhofer ITWM and focuses its work mainly on the promotion of young scientists as well as on further education and training.
