The seminar is aimed at military executives as well as researchers and decision makers from homeland security authorities. The main topics are ballistics, numerical simulation, ballistic metrology, chemical energy carriers and materials.

Our colleague Dr. Joachim Jonuscheit, deputy head of the department »Material Characterization and Testing«, will give a lecture entitled »Imaging Techniques for the Detection of Hazardous Materials«.

Today's threats to society – such as terrorism, natural disasters and organized crime – are becoming increasingly complex, and so the demands on defense research and development continue to grow. For this reason, the seminars generally assume a basic knowledge of the special field covered.
