SAMOS XXI
International Conference on Embedded Computer Systems: Architectures, Modeling and Simulation
International Conference on Embedded Computer Systems: Architectures, Modeling and Simulation
SAMOS is a conference dedicated to embedded systems that brings together researchers from academia and industry every year – a place for exchange and networking.
We are involved in the program with a special session on the topic: »Next Generation Computing«.
The program consists of formal and intensive technical sessions in the morning and a lively panel or high-profile keynote speaker at the end of the day.
Our expert Jens Krüger from our department »High Performance Computing« will participate with a special session. He is organizing and presenting the session on »Next Generation Computing« together with Matthias Jung (Fraunhofer IESE) and Marc Reichenbach (FAU Erlangen).
Conventional computer architectures reach their limits in terms of performance and especially energy efficiency. Moore’s law as well as Dennard scaling come to a breakdown. For further improvements in computer architectures, new and disruptive approaches that at least partially turn away from today’s dominant Von Neumann architectures are required. Therefore, we are looking for new key technologies for this transformation towards Next Generation Computing. For this special session, topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
